Peel Sessions is a live BBC radio recording EP capturing The Smashing Pumpkins in session for legendary DJ John Peel on BBC Radio 1. Recorded on 8 September 1991 at Maida Vale Studios in London, the trio of performances showcases the band’s early raw power and alternative rock urgency long before their breakthrough with Siamese Dream. These session tracks later appeared on various compilations of rarities and B-sides, but this standalone release focuses on the immediacy and energy of the live radio takes.
