Led Zeppelin – In Through The Out Door (Alternative Cover Edition) is one of the band’s most creatively packaged albums and a true collector’s piece. Originally released in 1979, this version includes a brown paper bag outer sleeve with the band name and title stamped on the front, designed to resemble a bootleg.

Inside is one of six alternative inner sleeve covers (labelled A to F), each showing a scene inside the same bar, but from different perspectives. This unique concept added a layer of surprise—fans wouldn’t know which version they had until opening it.

Even more unusual, the inner artwork was printed with a special “magic ink” that turns from black-and-white to full colour when exposed to moisture or heat, making the package interactive and memorable.

This edition remains one of the most sought-after and artistically daring releases in Led Zeppelin’s catalogue.
