From a second story window - conversations CD

From A Second Story Window was a progressive metalcore band formed in 2002, known for their complex song structures and emotionally charged performances. Their final album, Conversations, released in May 2008, reflects the band's evolution towards a more mature and conceptual sound. Produced by Jason "Jocko" Randall and released through Metal Blade and Black Market Activities, the album explores the intricate and often dark "conversations" people have with themselves and others, offering both aggression and depth.

Conversations is characterised by its blend of brutal metal riffs, atmospheric passages, and dynamic shifts. The lyrics dive deep into human experiences and introspection, with each track contributing to the overarching narrative of human struggles and emotional turmoil. Songs like "Self Admitted" and "Severed Heads Open Minds" combine raw intensity with melodic undertones, offering a rich sonic experience that stretches beyond typical metalcore boundaries. The band effectively integrates death metal and grindcore influences, making their sound complex and versatile
