Deep Purple – Shades of Deep Purple

EXCELLENT (EX)
The vinyl has been open and played, but is very clean and has been well cared for. No scratches or marks show—no background noise. The record didn't play many times, but signs of use can still be present—no damage to the cover or inlays.

About
Deep Purple – Shades of Deep Purple original UK pressing is a true gem for collectors. Released in 1968 on the Parlophone label, this first pressing features the distinctive black label with yellow Parlophone lettering—a key identifier for early UK editions.

This debut album features their breakout cover of “Hush” and originals such as “Mandrake Root” and “One More Rainy Day,” blending psychedelic rock, hard rock, and early progressive sounds.

Pressed on heavyweight vinyl with strong stereo mixes, the audio quality captures the raw energy of Deep Purple’s Mark I lineup. A rare and sought-after release that stands at the birth of hard rock.
