Porcupine Tree – Metanoia CD (Digipak) is a unique experimental release capturing studio improvisations recorded during the Signify sessions between 1995 and 1996. Rather than a conventional studio album, Metanoia presents extended instrumental pieces built from spontaneous performances, later shaped and assembled into cohesive tracks.

The album leans heavily into space rock and atmospheric progressive soundscapes, with long-form compositions, evolving textures and a more abstract, exploratory approach compared to the band’s structured releases. This CD edition expands on the original limited vinyl release by including additional material from the same sessions, offering deeper insight into Porcupine Tree’s creative process during this period. VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)
The CD is very good in general. A few faults are acceptable, but nothing that really compromises the CD visually or audibly. Little light marks may be visible. The CD has been well kept. The gatefold digipack shows some signs of storage.
